Dr Dumindu Witharana

Dr Dumindu Witharana is a Consultant Psychiatrist with 20 years of experience, specialising in Mood and Anxiety Disorders as well as Adult ADHD. Currently he is working as the Director of Gold Coast Mental Health and Specialist Service (In Patient) and The Clinical Lead for the Mood Disorder Service in Gold Coast University Hospital.

Dr Witharana is a Fellow of Royal College of Psychiatrist (UK) and a Fellow of Royal Australian and New Zealand College Psychiatrist (RANZCP). He also Obtained a master’s degree in Psychotherapy.

Dr Witharana has a wide range of expertise in the treatment of adults with mood, psychotic, anxiety and stress-related disorders. He provides advanced medication management and have a deep knowledge of evidence-based mental health care.

Dr Witharana dedicated to lifelong learning and are aware of new and emerging treatments in psychiatry. He uses a compassion focused approach, instilling hope to his patients and family during their journey towards well-being. Dr Witharana is keen on working collaboratively with General Practitioners and the community.
